Gazprom may buy Annensky areas in Kamchatka for gas exploration
KHABAROVSK, Sep 26 (PRIME) -- Gas giant Gazprom is considering buying Annensky 1 and Annensky 2 prospecting areas in Russia’s Far Eastern Kamchatka Peninsula to explore gas reserves, Alexander Kalinkin, deputy director of department for production of gas and gas condensate said at a meeting on Tuesday.
Gazprom will also continue operations at the Kshuksky, Severo-Kolpakovsky and Noyabrsky 1 and 2 sites in 2017-2020, for which it has obtained licenses, Kalinkin also said.
At the Kshuksky field, the company drilled a well to drop plans for two more wells due to a worse than expected geological model.
In Kamchatka, Gazprom has been producing gas and gas condensate at the Kshuksky and Nizhne-Kvakchiksky fields since 2010. In 2017, local output will amount to 395.7 billion cubic meters of gas and 14.3 million tonnes of gas condensate. Booster pump stations are to be launched at the fields in 2018 and 2019, respectively, to maintain production.
